Man. I have probably been inactive for about more than a month now, due to lack of time to write a post and a lack of ideas of WHAT to write in a post. I have a vague idea right now, so let's go ahead with it!
I wanted to bring up the topic of the Spiral Ball, which actually occurred a week ago on Saturday (the day AFTER when I'm supposed to write my blog post) but it brought up a couple of things that have been circulating through my head for quite some time now.
In case you haven't known already, I'm a menu chat user. For some reason even after passing the age of 13 KI still hasn't enabled text chat for my account, and won't enable it until I validate a credit card on my account. I do have a side noob text account, but it's challenging shuffling between two accounts, my main and my side one. This is probably the reason I don't go to parties often, the pandemonium and (partially) the laziness of me using two accounts was just... unappealing.
I decided to go to the Spiral Ball because a lot of my friends were going; it seemed like a huge event in the year, and I could tell it was going to be a break from a ton of recent "drama" in the community on twitter. After going to Kelsey's (BEAUTIFULLY decorated) Amber Estate, it was quite a party; the lag from the amount of people there was rather extreme, and people were either pvping, staring in awe and trying to talk to some of the other famous community members who also decided to go, or just talking to the people around them. I just decided to stand there and listen to all of them, and when Trivia was announced, like a lot of other people, I went inside to participate.
I had to leave for a little bit, but when I came back, a line had formed around me and some other people, with all of my friends in the #Twizard community. A few minutes later, more and more people decided to join in:
It may not seem like a huge deal, but I realized how many friends I had gained from joining this community. Before, I felt like I never was truly involved, and I was almost just there in the middle of things. Being the beginning of summer (and fun and everything that comes with it) I just wanted to thank all you people for just being... there! I might be that wizard sitting in the corner and watching everything happen, but you guys interacting with each other and myself builds so many amazing experiences. There are many frequent issues from within the community as well, but it just makes us learn from people's mistakes and lets us improve as a whole. Gotta stay optimistic here folks
SOOO yeahh... THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYBODY, FOR EVERYTHING!
I also wanted to bring up the fact that since it's summer, i'll be drawing more often. I've been debating whether to re-open requests, or to open up commissions for the first time (which is where a person pays SOMETHING in return for a drawing of choice) but I'm not sure what I should do or where I should go with this...If you have any feedback comment below!
Also, I'll be putting a lot of the drawings on my Deviantart page! If you want to go check it out, go here: (shameless self advertising hehehehehe): http://amberfiresword.deviantart.com/
That's all for this week! See you all in the spiral!
PS: While you're still reading, enjoy this comic (not really Wizard101 related but it's still amazing):
